Get to work!

My teenage son had a job last summer.  First day he handed out resumes he was hired.  It was amazing to watch him save and buy what he had set goals for.  He was 14.
This summer, instead of handing out his resume in May, He started the last week of June and is still handing them out now. The late start is a big lesson for him.  He is behind in his phone bill (yes HE pays) and not able to upgrade his bike as he had planned for starters.  Welcome to the real world, son.

While landing a job for anyone may not be easy, writing a resume for teens can be.  At www.careerkids.com all your young job seeker has to do is click on the red My First Resume button and follow the instructions, answering the questions and filling in the blanks. The end product is a professionally done resume that will amaze you and your child.  FREE.  Really.

Getting a job may not always be easy, but writing that first resume is.
